My Collage Future

I would like to go to Colbie Collage and major in creative writing after I graduate high school. Some jobs that involve creative writing are newspaper reporter, writing/editing, and technical creative writing. 

The first job, newspaper reporter, did not give a specific salary, but it said that the position offers reliable employment, salary, benefits and great communities. It requires previous newspaper experience, and have had experience with computers, English, and photography for education purposes. The personality traits recommended for this job are community-minded and active leadership.

The second job, writing/editing, also did not give a salary but said "Salary is negotiable." It also includes health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, long-term disability insurance, paid holidays, paid vacation, paid personal time, and employee assistance program. The education that is required for this job are education/background in journalism or related field, combined with outstanding writing, verbal and interpersonal skills, a minimum of 3 - 5 years experience in the publishing field, written communication skills and a proven ability to convert health, medical, and social issues into clear language for the lay person. The personality traits recommended for this job are organizational skills, an ability to multi-task, and a determination to meet deadlines are equally critical to success, detail-oriented, creative, forward-thinking, having a positive attitude, strong work ethic, being a team player who is passionate about communicating. Sensitivity to issues of health and disability is also essential. An interest in or experience with writing about health issues.

The third job, technical creative writing, had an open pay rate. The education toward this job includes excellent English writing and verbal communication skills, a bachelor's degree in English or Journalism, some marketing, application writer, content developer experience, has proficiency an proof-reading/editing, basic understanding of HTML and XML.Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), experience with a video creation software, such as, Camtasia or Captivate, and has experience with Media Wiki. The personality traits recommended for this job are having the ability to quickly research and understand new product features, ability to produce clear, engaging and concise content, ability to stay on schedule in a fast paced environment, and having a positive attitude toward change and inevitable mid-project course corrections.
