Second Construction for the Blog
Throughout the past week I have used most of the skills that were highlighted, but the one quality in me that seems to shine through I believe is communication. I am a newcomer to this field of the job spectrum, so I have been finding it a little difficult to adjust. The only previous experience that I have ever had with editing had been by using iMovie. The programs that we have been using are extremely complicated and have been hard to manage, so I tend to have to ask a lot of questions. Communication has never been a problem for me because for the past four years I have been involved in the Speech and debate club and have spoken in front of almost 1,000 people (this is no exaggeration!). Including my entire sophomore class and achieving a second place ranking for the sophomore speech. I have known that if I could get up in front of multiple people and present to them a speech, then I should have no problem presenting a sign of help needed to understand these various programs. So, lately I have been asking many questions to my supervisor, Pam, Pam's very interesting and knowledgeable assistant, Marcus, and my other fellow intern, Stephen. Together I believe that we from a team that can bring the Novato Public Access Television Station back in to motion.
A trait that I believe is needed to help me improve is my professionalism. I'm not exactly sure what I am supposed to dress in. Pam told me casual, but I don't want to come in looking too casual. I really don't know what to wear, so I guess I'm going to go out to look for new clothes that might be acceptable in my terms.
