Goals:
I want to become a better writer over the course of the summer. I will do this by blogging weekly about my internship and trying to write something - a poem, an essay, a journal entry, something - every single day. I want to specifically improve my writing by learning how to write with conciseness and fluidity, instead of rambling and using complicated words.
I also want to learn more about environmental science over the summer. I will do this by actively participating in my internship and asking questions. This goal is measurable because I can explain what I learned to my little brother and see if he understands it or not.
Habits:
I want to continue working in a timely fashion by arriving at my internship promptly and getting all my work done on time. This is a great habit to build on because time management is key in real life jobs and workplaces.
I also want to be more organized and not lose all my stuff like I usually do. This skill is especially important in my internship now because I will be working with a team of people to report on issues and will need to pull my fair share of the weight.
Allies:
My allies are my parents and teachers, specifically my English teacher from last year Mrs. Kraus. I hope to gain more allies throughout the summer.
At your first day at Earthscope yesterday you were very involved and curious. It is great that you showed interest in the subject and I think you'll totally excel. I would also like to improve my writing.
ReplyDeleteI am also interested in improving my writing and I am trying to write as much as I can and read as much as I can, so I think just by writing as much as possible, you will become a better writer. I think that your enthusiasm will benefit you a lot in the future and the workforce as well.
ReplyDeleteI also have the same goals of learning more of environmental science. I could relate that I do have habits that benefit me and don't flaws that make me not do my work, like procrastinating.
ReplyDeletewell it seems that you don't have habits that are not hard to fix, so good luck
