Positive:
Can work with others. I am an extrovert. Talking to new people and working with others not only comes easy to me, but is my strong suite. I create a great sense of joy when meeting new people and talking to strangers. For example, during my internship, we must interview others about there jobs for environmental sciences. When asking them questions and learning about there passions, I not only learn about there jobs, but I learn and become greater knowledgeable at social skills, especially completing the difficult and sometimes intimidating tasks of talking to professional adults. Because of this, I challenge myself everyday in an exiting way by putting myself out there, making mistakes, and becoming more comfortable with working with my teachers, classmates, and those superior to me.
Is dedicated. Throughout my school career, I have always been able to work my hardest and to be dedicated with every activity I am involved in. During my internship, I missed the first week due to a community service trip. Because of this, I got caught up with the intern work on my trip and came into the next class prepared and ready for anything. Not only in school am I dedicated, but I am dedicated through my sports that I play year round. I hope going into the future, I will keep up this dedication and have the optimism and creativity that comes from dedication.
Negative;
Is literate. In middle school, I became extremely comfortable with Mac computers. I know almost everything there is to know about Apple technology. I am able to improvise, adapt, and overcome with the technical difficulties that may sometimes come from Apple. In high school, I had to make the transition from Macs to PCs and Dells which has been a struggle. I now have to break old habits that I have used for Macs consistently and constantly remember how PCs and Dells function. Throughout my internship we are mostly using PCs which takes more time and is not automatic for me. I hope to soon become adept with PCs, therefore becoming mastery to more technology based assignments.
